Capabilities

Design and Drawing

With many decades of experience, GST collaborates with customers for value added product design solutions for functionality, cost effectiveness, repeatability, and ease of installation.  We use 3D solid modeling to verify the accuracy of each build.

 Cutting

Most projects begin with cutting sheet metal or structural steel. GST's cutting department includes multiple fiber lasers, tube laser, plasma table, water jet, turret punches, and a robotic beam line. We are equipment to cut any project in a variety of thicknesses and shapes.

Forming

GST's forming department includes state of the art CNC press brakes with accurate back gauges that yield tight tolerance, repeatable parts.  We are able to bend sheets up to 14 feet long and 1/2 inch thick.

Welding and Robotics

GST is a Certified Welding Fabricator with the American Welding Association, utilizing all welding techniques including over sixty welding stations featuring GMAW, GTAW, SMAW, and FCAW welding.  We offer robotic welding for volume quantities.

Machining

Embedded in GST's Janada Facility is  a machine shop that rivals many stand alone shops - including CNC vertical and horizontal mills and lathes, as well as conventional equipment. We are able to machine tight tolerance features and face parts up to 72"x40"x30".

Painting and Powder Coating

GST offers full service paint and powder coating, including grit blast, sandblast, and glass bead blast.  Our painting operations include four wet paint booths able to accommodate volume parts or very large structures. Our powder coating operations include an automated powder line and three batch booths

Assembly

Full assembly is a hallmark of GST's turnkey services.  We have full time teams dedicated to hand assembly of subcomponents and completed final parts, including rivets, bolts, pems and other fasteners, hinges and latches, laminating, and wiring and testing.

Erection and Installation

Multiple DFW structural, miscellaneous and ornamental crews erect projects ranging from cladding, bollards and handrails to multi-level structures.  Additionally, retail crews install GST kiosks, RMUs, and displays in retail and airport environments throughout the country, including Hawaii and Puerto Rico.

Quality Assurance

Quality is the most important characteristic of a metal fabricator.  GST has a robust quality system that is certified to AISC and passes even the most stringent of yearly quality audits. Welding Procedure Specifications are followed closely by personnel who are certified to the procedure.  GST conducts first article analysis and final quality inspections on every project.
